Mobile game adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains is a free action game for mobile developed by Komoe Technology Limited. It's a video game adaptation of the popular manga and anime series, Tokyo Ghoul. In it, players will take control of iconic characters in various battles as they witness their internal struggles and personal stories unfold.

Much like Tokyo Ghoul Dark War, Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains offers a new way to experience the original story with artistic cutscenes rendered in a distinct 3D cel-shaded animation style. There are also multiple game modes to let players experience the story in different ways.

Humans versus ghouls

Tokyo Ghoul is one of the most popular manga series in recent years. Part of that is due to its thrilling fight scenes, relatable characters, and harrowing story, even if it was a bit cliche in some parts. It's no surprise that it got an anime adaptation, and now a video game adaptation lets you experience the story all over again in a new way.

Relive the story from start to end in Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains, with the most iconic scenes made as animated cutscenes. The game features a strategic card-based battle system that will let you form a team from more than 30 characters from the series. Utilize their Ultimate Skills to deal devastating blows to enemies in tough situations and win battles.

As mentioned earlier, this video game adaptation has multiple game modes, which include co-op gameplay for the main campaign, as well as real-time PvP with other players around the world. Unfortunately, it suffers from various technical issues, including frequent freeze-ups and disconnections that ruin the experience for a lot of players. Hopefully, these can be resolved in an update as soon as possible.

A different experience

In summary, if you're a fan of the original manga series, this Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chain video game offers a fresh way to relive the story in addition to the anime. It includes pretty much every major character from the show and the tactical battles are quite engaging. The issues mentioned above do need to be fixed promptly, though.
